CITY OF EAU CLAIRE HOUSING DIVISION ANNOUNCES COMMUNITY-WIDE NEEDS SURVEY

The City of Eau Claire Housing Division asks that City of Eau Claire residents participate in an online Community-Wide Needs Survey to assist the City with prioritization of community development and housing needs.

The survey (in English, Spanish and Hmong) will be available from January 12, 2015 thru February 12, 2015 on the City of Eau Claire home page at:

http://www.eauclairewi.gov/departments/housing/housing-division/community-development-block-grant. In addition to being available on-line, a printed copy of the survey will be available at:

  • Housing Authority of the City of Eau Claire – 203 S Farwell Street
  • LE Phillips Library – 400 Eau Claire Street

The Needs Survey asks for your input on the following community development issues:

  • Neighborhood conditions
  • Decent, safe and sanitary housing
  • Affordable housing
  • Street replacement/repairs
  • Parks and recreational facilities
  • Services and activities for youth, persons with disabilities, the elderly
  • Homelessness prevention programs
  • Assistance to businesses to create jobs
  • Job training programs

The results of the survey will help determine the use of public funds, including the City’s yearly allocation of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and HOME funds. Results of this survey, along with other data indicators/analyses, and recommendations will be presented to the Eau Claire City Council in May of 2015.
