Once upon a time in Wisconsin, there was a fantastical idea called the Government Accountability Board. It did just that – oversaw transparency and ethics in elected officials. But the very people it was meant to monitor didn’t like it, and so it is no more.

Is it important to you that your state officials are behaving themselves? Is there a practical limit to their assigned powers? Should they answer to voters?
