The Cannery Bike Trail

We spoke with City Engineer Dave Solberg: “This is the Cannery Trail. So it connects the High Bridge Trail and the High Bridge, which was completed a few years ago, with Madison Street. Eventually it will go under Madison Street and it will come out to Oxford Avenue. “This is a city-funded project, it’s little over half a million dollars. Little over 3,000 feet long. About a half mile of trail for a half million dollars. “It’s just wonderful that Eau Claire is re-embracing the rivers that gave the city life. So now we’re returning to those roots with trails along the river and park space. This just fits in with what the city’s done so far.”
