In Memoriam: An Interview with Laurie Bieze by Chippewa Valley Community Television (CVCTV) will be aired at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 21 on cable channel 993 and also available on demand at cvctv.org

LB-project-2In the video the well-known stained glass artist talks about her early life, her passion for adventure and travel, and how she came to make her home in Eau Claire.  Bieze emphasizes the importance of community—in art and in life– and offers advice for young artists.  She also speaks frankly about her struggle with breast cancer, and her beliefs about life after death.  [pullquote align=”right”]“My belief system is that good things are going to happen to me.  I’m going to learn and see and be and float around the whole universe—and I’m gonna love it!” [/pullquote]

Bieze was interviewed in her home by Jack Corey, a longtime friend, on March 29, 2014, a few weeks before she died.  Her son Chel and several friends also appear in the video to talk about her life, work and legacy.

The video will be repeated on CVCTV channel 993 on Friday, September 26, 3:00 p.m. and on Sunday, September 28, 2:00 pm. Consult the schedule on cvctv.org for additional times.   A memorial celebration will be held on September 27 at Phoenix Park, 3:30-6:30 pm
