Garden Tour, Part 4: House Party

In downtown Eau Claire, between the Eau Claire River and Lake Street, where concrete and asphalt hold harsh reign, there is precious little green space. But thanks to a devoted group of gardeners, you can still stop and smell the 20th century roses.

When you’re weary of hardness and rough edges, stop by for a few minutes at the Schlegelmilch Garden atb the corner of Lake & Farwell– and maybe you could even pull a few weeds while there?

Interested? The Schlegelmilch Garden is open 24/7. There are pamphlets available to learn more about the garden. The house, built in 1871, is available for events by reservation. Call (715) 834-7871.
