Yes, they are both positioned on the 91st parallel, and I have lived and worked in both, but the two places are a world apart — in climate, in geology, in wildlife, and in human culture.

Yet the people who live in Galápagos, and the people who are drawn there, share the same motivations. There are few places on planet Earth who are its twin for enjoying wildlife up close and personal
